LEVEL Workspace is an innovative office search consultancy based in Manchester that finds the ideal workspaces to help businesses grow. Their search service is free, unbiased and confidential so that you know you’re getting the best deal for your company, not the landlord.
The business is still young, but it’s scaling up and the time was right to invest in their marketing. That meant a branding exercise, a new website and a content marketing strategy were needed to help define the company’s future.

The LEVEL team, led by Managing Director Joe Averill, got in touch for an initial discussion about how professional content writing could add value to that process.

Establishing a strong, consistent voice to drive the next phase of growth
As a young business, LEVEL was in the perfect place to define its voice and establish a strong, consistent brand value proposition that would drive the next phase of growth. The company has a lot of strengths, a huge amount of energy and a unique place in the market. The trick was getting that written in an engaging way to attract new clients.
Joe said:
“At the time, our business was growing, and we needed to establish a stronger, more consistent brand voice. We had a lot of ideas but didn't have the expertise to deliver them. We needed someone who could take our vision and translate it into clear, compelling content that engaged our customers and drove results.”

The most important early task was writing the new website. There was existing material, but after discussions with the team we decided to either discard or rewrite almost all of it. A fresh approach that focussed on the value LEVEL adds for clients and the company’s unique approach was favoured.
The writing was informed by SEO research and close collaboration with both the LEVEL team and the web developers to make sure that everything was impactful and engaging. Once that was agreed, the website came together and the first phase of LEVEL’s marketing rebrand was complete.
Collaborating to build an effective content marketing strategy
Next up was the company blog. The LEVEL team had a huge list of ideas already, and together we took the best ones, refined them and turned them into articles which were SEO-friendly and added value for readers.
The idea was to align the blogs with LEVEL’s service offering. In other words, to show that this was a company offering a high level of expertise, that knew how to get you value for money, and could find a workspace that aligned with your business goals.

My knowledge of the property world sped up the writing process and was a key differentiator for LEVEL when they were looking for a writer.

I am a believer in the magical power of case studies. I think they are the single best way to show a reader (and potential future client) that you are reliable, trustworthy experts. It’s the evidence of service, approach and track record that people need to make an informed purchasing decision.

With LEVEL, we created case studies of a depth and detail which are unmatched in the sector in my opinion. Collaboration in all directions was key. I provided a basic case study template to Dominique Dempsey, a superb freelance events and marketing professional, who then had long and involved conversations with LEVEL clients. She got to the bottom of exactly what value LEVEL adds for clients, finding all the details and obtaining outstanding quotes we could use.
I then took her interviews and turned them into case studies for the website. Featuring great imagery and focussing on the value LEVEL found for the clients, these case studies are a key part of the website and a cornerstone of the firm’s social media advertising.
